There’s an intuitive mechanism on the side of the frame of this multifunctional chair – to the left and right of the seat. A subtle dummy plate covers it in the standard design so that the chairs can stand alone, perhaps around a table set beautifully for a special occasion. But these covers can be replaced with optional features as and when required, including a row linking device for panic-safe linking in the basic configuration, a writing tablet and armrests with built-in linking capability. These features unlock countless combinations for long rows and small units alike. The extras can be removed from hero plus flex with a quick press on the lever. No tools are required for any of the modifications. The additional parts can be kept close at hand on the storage and transportation trolley – or stored safely away.
